We had dinner at hotel Kalyan. Food was very good. Staff very helpful and listening to our needs especially Mr Kamal gurjar. Menu is hudge. There is a rooftop and some traditional music everyday. We are really happy. Would recommend to anyone

Unfortunately the worse experience I had in Jaipur which almost spoiled our stay for celebrating my mother’s birthday. The service is highly unprofessional, the rooms are very basic for the high price they ask and you won’t be sure to find hot water during the day and at night. We had to pay in advance through Booking and thought it would have been a warranty of excellence. Yet, when we reached and paid at the counter (70€/ night!!!!) the nightmare has started. They had first appointed us to a double room on the side of the building through an old stair that looked like a driver room or staff room. We asked to change as it did not reflect the paid amount. We saw many rooms and all of them looked the same : dull and not very clean, no bed sheets but only those kitschy blankets that god knows when they got cleaned at last. Eventually after hours of roaming around, we ended it what they call a “suite” or what would be a perfectly normal room in any other hotel around : Ratangarh Palace, former Sunder Palace etc (which by the way have lower prices for a much better service). They tried then to make us pay for a breakfast that was declared “complimentary” . We decided it was enough of discomfort for a family trip . We asked for refund and had to wait for it for hours and eventually they have compensated a part of the second night we were supposed to spend in this horrible hotel. The Sura restaurant, although expensive, was the only nice touch of this place. Absolutely not recommended.
